The Spinergy Board of Directors

The Board of Directors provides discrete governance and direction for Spinergy Pty Ltd and its subsidiaries as they are established in different regions throughout the world.

Recognising the different legislation and regulations in each jurisdictions, coupled with the variety of cultures in which Spinergy™ operates, we appoint local specialists, professionals with trans-jurisdiction experience, and international advisors, who provide assistance to appointed Executive Management in each country as required.


JOHN OUTHRED (GLOBAL)

BA (Planning); Grad Dip Pub Sec Man; Adv Dip Bus Dev; Dip Bus (FLM); MPIA; CPP

Based in Adelaide (Australia), John is the Chairman of the Board.

John also serves on the Boards of Digislide Photonics, BSMART Manufacturing, GEM College of International Business and the Outhred English Group.

John is Principal Planner at Outhred English and Associates Pty Ltd and specialises in environmental management, land division advice and design, project management, and site analysis and selection. He has had 40+ years experience in balancing the needs of natural and built environments. He held executive positions in government for over 17 years before going into private enterprise.

The South Australian Government’s Land Management Corporation and Department for Environment and Heritage delegated the project management of the politically charged and environmentally, culturally and ecologically sensitive Statewide Shacks Freeholding Project, which involved development of a number of sensitive coastal, river and estuarine sites.

John was Director of Development at the City of Onkaparinga (formerly, Noarlunga) for over 6 years and was responsible for economic development, all statutory and strategic planning, building, and health functions. He was Chair of the Seaford Co-ordinating Committee and a key member of the Seaford Structure Planning Team. Seaford is a Joint Venture (private and public) urban development project that developed 700 hectares of land over a 10-15 year period. He was Chair of the Noarlunga Development Assessment Panel and the Noarlunga Centre Interim Steering Committee (1994-1996) which was responsible for redevelopment work to the Noarlunga Regional Centre.

John managed extensive public consultation processes, including Development Plan Amendment processes, and his land division experience includes broad acre industrial, commercial and residential land divisions, including a 165 allotment residential development undertaken by the City of Noarlunga, in 3 stages over 3 years.

John provides site analysis and selection services for a range of commercial and industrial clients, including the Urban Renewal Authority of South Australia, Liberty Oil, Hickinbotham Group, the Accor Group and Venuti Developments. He has had extensive experience in the preparation and presentation of Statements of Evidence for the Environment, Resources and Development Court (SA).


BISHOP EFRAIM M TENDERO (Philippines & Global)

Dr Div; BA Theology

Bishop Efraim Tendero (Bishop Ef) has been designated Chairman of the Board of Spinergy (Philippines), and is a Director of Spinergy Pty Ltd.

Bishop Ef is Global Ambassador of The World Evangelical Alliance, which is a global organisation of churches founded in 1846 in London, England. Now headquartered in New York, it brings together 129 national alliances of churches, 104 member associations and 6 boards, and is the largest international organisation of evangelical churches.

Prior to his above appointment Bishop Tendero served as national director of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC) from 1993 to 2014. PCEC is the largest network of evangelical Christians in the Philippines composed of 25,000 evangelical churches, 66 denominations, 150 para-church and mission organisations.

In 2005, he was appointed executive director of the Philippine Relief and Development Services (PHILRADS) and continues to hold the said position till now. PHILRADS, the relief and development arm of PCEC, works hand in hand with local churches in holistic ministries for the poor and the needy, to enable them to become all that God intends them to be. It responds to the emergency needs of disaster victims, provides assistance for their rehabilitation, carries out community development projects, and conducts disaster management seminars for local churches and communities.

Besides providing leadership for PCEC and PHILRADS, Bishop Tendero is the chair of the board of the following organisations: Asian Theological Seminary, Back to the Bible Broadcast, Evangelism Explosion (EE) 3 Philippines, and Philippine Missions Association, and the Youth Commission of the Evangelical Fellowship of Asia. He is also a member of the Youth Commission of the World Evangelical Alliance.

He was chair of the General Committee of the Metro Manilla Franklin Graham Festival that spearheaded the festival of Franklin Graham in the Philippines in February 2006.

Bishop Ef’s dynamic communication style, excellent leadership and rich ministry experience, has made him an international favourite speaker for conferences in more than 25 countries.

He was one of the spiritual advisers of former President Fidel V. Ramos in his capacity as chair of the National Ecumenical Consultative Committee (NECCOM); and is now a member of the Presidential Council for Values Formation. Bishop Tendero was also appointed by President GMA as one of the members of the 50-man Citizen’s Consultative Commission or Concom that traversed the country to consult and gather input from various sectors and stakeholders of the nation, to review and craft possible amendments to the present Constitution. He was awarded a Presidential Medal of Merit for these services.
He actively represented the Philippines in several International Interfaith Dialogues including the United Nations High Level Inter-religious and Intercultural dialogue for Understanding and Peace and the Inter-faith Climate Change Conference.

Bishop Tendero earned his B. A. Theology degree from FEBIAS College of Bible in 1978, cum laude and was the recipient of that year’s Most Outstanding Student Award. He also went to Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois for his M. Div. (Pastoral Counseling) degree, graduating cum laude. He is listed in the 1989 “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.” He received three honorary Doctor of Divinity degrees from Asian Theological Seminary, Febias College of Bible, and International School of Theology-Asia.

In recognition of his exemplary leadership and fostering unity and advocacy for national transformation, he was given the Distinguished Evangelical Leadership Award, making him the fifth person to receive this prestigious award in the 35 years of PCEC.


DR GRACE SEMBILLO (Manilla & Philippines)

D Min; D Ed; M Div; B CE; BSc

Dr Grace has been designated Executive Director of Spinergy (Philippines), and serves on the Board of Spinergy Pty Ltd.

Dr Grace is also a Director of BSMART Manufacturing (Australia).

Her background includes Corporate Training (Leadership, Change Management, Human Resource Management, Business Development, Customer Service, Team Building, Entrepreneurship); Organizational Analysis and Culture Change; Executive Mentoring and Coaching.

She is Corporate Human Resources Manager for AMTES, a major manufacturing firm, which is one of 300 organisations in The Philippines that has gained the Certificate of Compliance, placing it in the top 1% of Filipino organisations.

Prior to her current appointment, she was Human Resources and Organization Development Manager for Scotland Inc and Regional Representative for the Master of Business Administration for the Bakke Graduate School of Business (Seattle, Washington).

Dr Grace has provided leadership and mentoring for executives in some of The Philippines most rapidly growing and largest businesses. She has provided Human Resources and Organization Development services to Seaoil, Philippines, where she was a Leadership development Mentor; and has provided similar services to GW Architects, World Vision, ICI Ministries and Nutrinova Philippines.

Dr Grace was Associate Director for HRD and Ministry Education at the Greenhills Christian Fellowship and has held responsibilities as Dean for Academics in a major tertiary college in Manilla. She is a Board Member and Certified Trainer for World Teach Philippines; Executive Team Member for Christ@Work, Philippines and teaches and is Adjunct Faculty Masters in Executive Business Administration at Bakke Graduate University (Washington, Seattle) and is Part Time Faculty Member of the Master of Arts in Christian Education at the Alliance Graduate School, Quezon City. She is also Adjunct Faculty member for the Master of Arts in Christian Education and Master in Business Administration at the Asian Theological Seminary.


David Snellgrove (Philippines)

 

David serves on the Board of Spinergy (Philippines).

David gained significant experience in the construction industry in Australia, as founder/owner of Alpha Design and Architectural Drafting.

He relocated to Manilla, with his wife, Cherie, to establish Safe Haven Inc, a registered charity in Quezon City, within the megalopolis of Manilla. Safe Haven provides support to vulnerable women and children, provides mentoring support to micro business owners, and supports the Payatas Feeding Program – which provides daily nutrition to dozens of children living in the infamous Payatas Rubbish Dump.

David is the personification of the Spinergy™ founder’s desire to make a difference to the lives of the world’s most vulnerable. In the midst of abject poverty, David provides mentoring to aspirational micro-business owners and is establishing a small production team to assemble Spinergy’s Power4U™ products.

David directs all Spinergy’s non-core business activities, aimed at stimulating micro-business activities, and in 2017 will identify, evaluate and equip people with the required skills and knowledge to install and maintain Spinergy™ and Hydrospinergy™ technologies.


Richard Bryan Uy (Philippines)

BSc Mech Eng (cum laude); MSc Env Eng, Env Impact, Assessment and Wastewater Treatment

Bryan is Managing Director of Pacific Spectrum Environmental, and Founding Director of Kingdom Concepts International, Inc. He was elected Vice Chairman of the Air & Waste Management Association – Philippine Section, and has been a Resource Speaker for Environmental Compliance for Power Plants in the Philippines.

Bryan specializes in environmental impact studies working on a wide range of development projects in his capacity as Senior Environmental Consultant for Pacific Spectrum Environmental.

His extensive training on Environmental Management Accounting (EMA), which he obtained from the experts of Lueneburg University’s Center for Sustainable Management, has reinforced Bryan’s grasp on sustainable development strategies which he employs in his projects.

Bryan is a local EMA trainer for the EMA-SEA Project of German-based Capacity Building International (InWEnt) and Bangkok-based Asian Society for Environmental Protection (ASEP).

He has conducted research on fixed-film wastewater treatment technologies and has published his work in different professional associations including the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.

Bryan is a regular resource person of the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) in training pollution control officers on various environmental topics such as air pollution control, wastewater treatment technologies and hazardous waste management.

Earlier in his profession, he worked as a researcher at the UP Environmental Engineering Graduate Program, and has been involved in different environmental projects. He has also worked with the Land Bank of the Philippines as environmental specialist for the World Bank-assisted Water Districts Development Project.

Bryan graduated with honors (cum laude) with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Santo Tomas and earned his Masters degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of the Philippines in Diliman.
