Spinergy and co-applicants win $1.2 million grant from the South Australian Investment and Innovation Fund

News of the SAIIF Fund award was announced on November 20th 2009, by Senator the Hon. Kim Carr, Minister for Innovation, Industry and Science and Research (on behalf of the federal government), and the Hon. Kevin Foley, Deputy Premier of South Australia.

The Fund was created in order to assist industry development in South Australia, by providing grants to innovate job creation projects that will strengthen South Australia’s manufacturing and technology base.

The $1.2 million grant will be used to finance the expansion of an Opto-Electronics Clean Technology Research and Development and Training Centre at Dry Creek, South Australia.

The successful SAIIF submission was led by Digislide Holdings Ltd. The co-applicants included Spinergy and The Workright Centre for Entrepreneurship, a provider of business incubation and technology commercialisation services for innovation-driven young companies.
